Plan to join us Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 8:00 AM at the second annual Care 2 Cure walk/ run event. Participants can choose to either run or walk the 5 kilometer, or 1 mile course to benefit the Crozer Cancer Project Team (CCPT).
Last year was the inaugural launch of the Care 2 Cure event, designed to benefit the Crozer Regional Cancer Center; a leading edge provider of accessible, compassionate and state of the art cancer patient center. Throughout the year, the Crozer Center organized additional benefit events at local restaurants and a Phillies game to generate more than $30,000 in donations!
The Care 2 Cure event has been personally championed by Kalas Engineered Cable Products Division associate, Wanda McCue. Hired in 2009 as a Market Segment Manager, Wanda was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. While battling her own disease, Wanda made the decision that once cured; she would devote her time and talents to help those still actively fighting the disease. Wanda comments, “For every e-mail, phone call, and hour of investment, I receive magnitudes in return. Knowing that we are helping other cancer patients motivates me to dig deeper and help even more.”
