Celebrating Creativity this Holiday

Every year we send out holiday cards to our employees that have been designed in-house and professionally printed. This year, our HR team had the fun idea to engage our employees and their families with a fun card drawing contest for our holiday card designs as well as birthday card designs we can use all year long in 2018. 

Early November flyers went out asking for employee’s children to draw and submit either a holiday card or birthday card depending on their age brackets. Only one card could win for each, but every drawing was so special we wanted to share them here. It is a joy to see the heart and soul of our employees and a simple card drawing contest like this was one more great way to do that. 

Thank you to everyone who got involved and asked your children to submit pictures. They are each a joy to see!

Honoring Our Veterans

Employee appreciation is important to us at Kalas. One of our core values is CARING and throughout our organization, we want to strive to show that value. This past month we had the joy of honoring our of Veterans for Veterans’ Day. Instead of saying a simple thank you this year, we decided to organize a fun challenge to win a gift card. Through asking for submissions of “selfies” with a Kalas Veteran, we had a fun way to celebrate their bravery on the honorary day and beyond.

Photos from the challenge now adorn Kalas lunchrooms across our facilities in Lancaster and Denver, PA. Collated packages with special mugs, notes, and army men went out to all the Veterans who participated in the challenge.

Kalas at GAWDA 2017 Annual Convention

KALAS is proud to support the Gas and Welding Distributors Association at their 2017 Annual Convention. Held in New York City from October 1-4, this annual event is an excellent opportunity for the distributor membership to network with their strategic vendor partners. This year the convention has set a new record for attendance and has a packed agenda with dynamic presenters.

August – October 2017 Service Anniversary

Kalas is grateful for the ability to celebrate the loyalty and years of service of its dedicated associates. Each quarter, we recognize our service anniversary honorees with a luncheon shared with President Jack Witwer and the executive staff. In September we had the privilege of acknowledging 17 associates with a range of five to forty years of service – wow!!
